Gavin Barras graduated from Manchester University with a BMus. He is a professional musician who has recorded on many records and has toured Europe and Asia with various groups. He has over ten years of teaching experience from absolute beginners to advanced University level. He has taught for many years at The Music Place in Altrincham, conducted workshops for the Live Music Now organisation and is associate lecturer in bass guitar at Manchester Metropolitan University.
